Government urged to get tough over overdue pension payments

The government needs to toughen its stance on those who habitually delay the monthly payment of national pension, a lawmaker said Monday.

According to Saenuri lawmaker Shin Yee-jin, a member of the Health and Welfare Committee of the National Assembly, overdue payments over pension and health insurance premiums amounted to 16.4 trillion won in the past five years.
