Nichi-Iko acquires majority of shares in Binex

Japan’s leading generic drugmaker Nichi-Iko Pharmaceutical Co. has acquired a majority share (12.6 percent stake) in Binex Co. through a combination of new shares issued by Binex to Nichi-Iko and the acquisition of shares owned by existing shareholders, Binex officials said in its regulatory filing on Wednesday.
