85,529 drug adverse events reported in first half
The number of adverse events from all medicines was recorded at 85,529 in the first half of this year, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) said Tuesday.
The cases of drug side effects reported to the Korea Institute of Drug Safety & Risk Management (KIDS) have been steadily increasing every year; 92,615 cases in 2012, 74,657 cases in 2011 and 64,143 cases in 2010.
