Small drugmakers still scramble to survive

Despite the recent report that revenues and operating profits of major drug companies surged 4.5 percent and 40 percent on-year, respectively, in the first half of this year, mid- or small-sized firms are seeking ways to compete at home as their profits continue to fall in the domestic market after comprehensive price cuts of drugs by the government in April of last year.
