16 drugmakers rebound in first half

The nation’s sixteen leading drug manufacturers may have bottomed out in earnings in the first half of this year as their sales and operating profits have shown signs of improvement on the back of robust sales of flagship products, data showed Monday.

Last year, the government forced the domestic drug makers to substantially cut prices earlier, chipping away at their bottom lines.
