Hanbul Pharm goes bankrupt

Hanbul Pharmaceutical, the country’s mid-sized drug maker in terms of sales, was declared bankrupt Wednesday after failing to honor commercial papers, sending out shocking signals to local wholesalers.

The company, founded in 1968, has sustained growth with its ophthalmic drugs and OEM products. But later, the company began struggling with cash shortages amid fierce competition.
