About 541,000 people aged over 65, or 9.18 percent of all senior citizens, were estimated to have received treatment for Alzheimer’s disease last year, up from 8.4 percent in 2008 and 8.74 percent in 2010, according to a government report released by the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
