Hanmi wins local patent for manufacture of a combination form

Hanmi Pharmaceutical Co. said Wednesday that it won a Korean patent for manufacturing a combination form of irbersartan and atorvastatin.

The patent is characterized by adding a stabilizing agent in an effort to minimize the drug interaction that may occur during the reaction between the two substances in a two-layer tablet.
