3.68 pills prescribed in 2012

Patients were prescribed with an average of 3.68 pills per hospital visit during the latter half of last year, compared to 4.15 pills in 2002 and 12.37 percent of hospitals prescribed more than six pills per visit during the cited period, the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service (HIRA) said yesterday.
