Government likely to get tougher against drug rebates

The government is expected to step up its crackdown on the long-standing practice of offering and receiving kickbacks in the medical community, although doctors vowed to create a code of ethics to strengthen disciplinary measures against members who continue to receive kickbacks or other forms of payments, including lavish dinners, gifts and industry-sponsored overseas junkets.
