Korea plans radio tags for prescription drugs

Radio tags (or expanded barcode) will be placed on the containers of narcotics and psychotropic drugs sold here from next year, according to the state-run Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service (HIRA), in order to create a wireless tracking system that enables better inventory control and a reduction in prescription errors.
