As the National Assembly passed through the revised pharmaceutical affairs law on July 18 covering detailed scope of orphan drugs and their administrative particulars, the Korea Orphan Drug Center has been upgraded as a legal entity and its official position to the public, qualifying to authorize import permits of any self-medication drugs.
