More than 100 Bayer Healthcare employees let go

Bayer Healthcare said Sunday it had dismissed more than 100 employees in its volunteer retirement scheme aimed at cutting costs and streamlining operations.

The retirees will be given monetary compensation equivalent to their salary for up to 18 months in addition to severance pay, company officials added.
