Falling profit margin squeezes drug wholesalers

Domestic drug wholesalers are facing ever-decreasing profit margin by domestic and foreign pharmaceutical firms over the last several years, watching their bottom lines being undercut by weakening profit margins.

As a growing number of pharmaceutical firms are moving to curtail the wholesaler’s profit margin, wholesalers vowed Tuesday to voluntarily boycott all of low-profit drugs.
