Civic groups call for post-FTA steps for pharmaceutical companies

Local civic groups called for proper measures to let domestic pharmaceutical firms step up their game with the U.S. counterparts from the Korea-U.S. free trade agreement (KORUS FTA), Thursday.

They said Korean companies would face an uphill battle as they are to be hit hard as the trade pact went into effect Thursday, citing the need for effective policy to support them.
