Daehwa wins patent for oral paclitaxel

Daehwa Pharmaceutical said Wednesday that the company won an U.S. patent covering the oral form of widely used cancer drug paclitaxel, which is normally administered through injection.

The patent covers "composition for solublization of paclitaxel and preparation method thereof that make it possible to administer orally paclitaxel," a Daehwa official said.
