President Lee Myung-bak is expected to appoint new commissioner of Korea Food and Drug Administration in November, according to sources in the ruling bloc.

The current KFDA chief Noh Yun-hong, being considered as the nation’s top health official, is believed most likely to be named one of his new senior secretaries for social policy. Noh has been on the job for 18 months.
