New dosage form of montelukast approved by KFDA

SK Chemicals said Tuesday that it has received the market authorization of montelukast ODF (oral disintegrating film) from the Korea Food and Drug Administration.

Montelukast is a leukotriene receptor antagonist (LTRA) used for the maintenance treatment of asthma and to relieve symptoms of seasonal allergies, including exercise induced bronchospasm, allergic rhinitis, and urticaria.
