NHIC urged to clim illegal selling of generic drugs with bioequivalence data fabrication

For more than three years since 2008, the National Health Insurance Corp. has staged an uphill battle with 93 pharmaceutical firms that submitted falsified bioequivalence data on 231 medicines.

In each lawsuit, the court rejected claims for compensation by the NHIC, saying that the compensation of 118.2 billion won should be borne by bioequivalence testing centers only.
