Health ministry to propose bill over OTC medicines

The government plans to submit a bill to the National Assembly in September as part of effort to revise the pharmaceutical law to allow convenience stores and supermarkets to sell over-the-counter medicines.

But according to recent press reports, it is increasingly unlikely that the National Assembly’s Health and Welfare Committee will pass the bill anytime soon for implementation this year....
