Health ministry to push cut in MRI fees

Hospitals are in a less cheerful mood as the Ministry of Health and Welfare wants them to cut as much as 33 percent off Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), computed tomography (CT) and positron emission tomography (PET) fees.

The ministry has a plan to cut the ever-increasing imaging equipment fees as part of restructuring the national health insurance scheme.
