Tinnitus patients doubled in 7 years
The National Health Insurance Corporation (NHIC) said recently that the number of patients being treated for tinnitus (ringing in the ears) has almost doubled over the past seven years.
In 2009, 264,000 people had their tinnitus treatment covered by their health insurance, about 1.9-fold rise from 142,000 in 2002.
