OTC products to rise up to 50 percent

Some drug manufacturers intend to increase their over-the-counter drugs by more than 50 percent, as part of efforts to boost sluggish sales in the domestic market.

Yuyu Pharm said it will increase the price of Benoplus gel heparin+aescin+glycol salicylate) from 3,000 won to 4,500 won per pack while Hanmi’s Lirexpen (acetaminophen+chlorzoxazone) price surged 80 percent.
