Korea to designate sibutramine as possible misuse or overuse of drug in October

The Korea Food and Drug Administration is considering categorizing sibutramine as drugs that may lead to misuse or overdose to strengthen its inspection for public health in October at the latest.

Under the plan, customers will not get an easier access to sibutramine even at pharmacies where the current system of separating drug dispensing from medical practice is applied.
