Korea to upgrade quality of medical service

Beginning March next year, the government will introduce a system to designate treatment-focused hospitals nationwide to ensure better medical service, the Ministry of Health and Welfare Affairs said on July 14.

These hospitals will be allowed to charge more money for the following treatments and/or diseases: obstetrics and gynecology, neurosurgery, plastic surgery, stroke and burn.
