CJ releases adefovir pivoxil in amorphous form

CJ Cheil Jedang says it has launched adefovir pivoxil in amorphous form, which does not infringe the original patent of GlaxoSmithKline.

CJ’s new formulation is characterized by reverse chromatography and solid dispersing technology, which have been under local patent application.

The company said a large-scale production of adefovir pivoxil is available through its own technology.
