Korea’s pharmaceutical output totals 14.7 trillion won in 2009

Korea's total drug production by 264 manufacturers was 14.7 trillion won last year, up 6.44 percent compared with 9.1 trillion won a year earlier, according to data from the Korea Food and Drug Administration.

The domestic drug production amount of pharmaceuticals accounted for 1.39 percent of the nation’s gross national product last year.
