New KFDA vice commissioner named

President Lee Myung-bak has named Lee Hee-sung, a former chief of the Korea Food and Drug Administration in Seoul, as vice commissioner of the administration, Cheong Wa Dae announced on May 17. Lee will replace Lee Sang-yong who resigned due to his personal reason.

Lee has various posts at the KFDA, including director of drugs safety bureau.
