Samsungs investment plan boosts shares of biopharmaceutical firms

Samsung Group’s announcement to spend 23.3 billion won on new businesses including biopharmaceuticals and medical devices on May 11 is a boon to local biomarkers as their shares skyrocketed recently.

Binex saw its shares gain the most on the junior Kosdaq market and shot up 14.9 percent to 12,000 won.

Isuabxis and Genexin soared to 16,200 won and 10,400 won, respectively.
