KFDA to elucidate possible link between sibutramine therapy and adverse events

The Korea Food and Drug Administration says it will reach a conclusion on safety of sibutramine by next month after full review of clinical data from the Sibutramine Cardiovascular Morbidity/Mortality Outcomes in Overweight or Obese Subjects at Risk for CVD (SCOUT) trial, which was submitted by Abbott Korea.
