Local drugmakers win patent nullification trial over Lipitor
On March 25, the Supreme Court ruled against Lipitor (atorvastatin) patent in its nullification trial which had been sought by some local pharmaceutical firms.
The court said in its ruling that Lipitor patent owned by Pfizer Inc. is based on well-known materials and processes without any novelty.
In response, Pfizer Korea expressed deep regret over the ruling.
