Obese people cannot use sibutramine for over 1 year, KFDA says

The Korea Food and Drug Administration issued warnings on March 15 that the use of sibutramine, marketed as the weight loss medication, cannot exceed one year and the drug cannot be use in elderly people aged over 65 years or children under 16 years.

38 manufacturers of 56 sibutramine preparations will be obliged to attach such warnings.
