Drug-emergent adverse events top 46,168 for 8 years

A total of 46,168 adverse events caused by a variety of medicines to the Korea Food and Drug Administration have been reported for the recent eight years (2002 to 2009), a whopping 312-fold increase, according to Kim Chong-doo, a research follow of the National Assembly’s Health, Welfare and Family Affairs.
