Diet supplements increasingly popular

The local dietary supplement market has been briskly expanded for the last five years thanks to increasing number of health-conscious Koreans, according to the Korea Food and Drug Administration.

The drug agency said Korea’s weight loss supplement market is estimated at 20 billion won, compared with 500 million won in 2005.
