More tax exemptions set for R&D spending

Korea seeks to expand tax exemptions for corporate investment in research and development (R&D) as part of efforts to stimulate state-run and private companies’ R&D spending in the era of free trade agreements (FTAs).

The government plans to redouble efforts to use patents that have not been utilized for productive purposes and draw up measures to prevent a drain of industrial technologies.
