Food manufacture ordered to describe “food irradiation” label

Any irradiated foods, such as potato and onion, must go through a strict safety assessment from this year and, if approved, must be labelled as having been treated by radiation, according to the Korea.

To date, a total of 26 foods have been approved to be irradiated.
