Re-use plan for asbestos-contaminated drugs likely to hit snag

Several pharmaceutical companies, including Ilyang Pharm, will hit snag with a plan to recover active ingredients from about 1,000 medicines that are confirmed to have used talc or talcum powders with asbestos, as they are required to meet the local drug master file (DMF) regulations within the expiry date of each finished product.
