KFDA launches national emergency unit
The Korea Food and Drug Administration said on August 31 it will operate a national emergency unit to contain the H1N1 flu virus, which is spreading rapidly through community-level transmission, whose origin is uncertain.
The unit, headed by Lee Sang-yong, deputy manager of the KFDA, will map out plans to secure more flu vaccines at home and abroad, to ensure the effective flu vaccination.
