Korea mulls compulsory licensing over Tamiflu

The Ministry of Health, Welfare and Family Affairs said that the government is considering taking a compulsory measure that stops the patent periods of antiviral agents, including Tamiflu and allows the domestic production of their generic drugs.

Such an action would be possible when the government declares a state of emergency regarding the virus spread, health officials said.
