Clinical studies are underway for 159 new drugs

Clinical studies, including drug screening and animal experiments, have been conducted for the development of 159 new medicines, according to the Korea Drug Research Association.

Currently, 63 new chemical entities are being screened by 21 companies.

By clinical phase, 49 preclinical studies have been undertaken by 25 companies, and 19 companies participate in Phase I and II studies.
