Korea’s medical expenditures up 11.8% in first half

The national health insurance spent 19.4 trillion won in the first half of this year to cover medical expenditures including drugs and treatment outlays, up 11.8 percent compared with 17.3 trillion won marked in the same period of 2008, according to data released by the National Health Insurance Corporation.
