Government to sweep pharmaceutical industry
The government will step up its fight against chronic illegal rebate practices whereby doctors and pharmacists receive money from drug makers in return for prescribing or recommending their products, according to the Ministry of Health, Welfare and Family.
The authorities will cut the prices of drugs in question by 20 percent if the makers violate the agreement from this August.
