Government to get tough on prescription of anti-ulcerants
The Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service said on July 15 that it will screen the proper use of all drugs intended for treatment of peptic ulcers during the latter half of this year as the corresponding medication costs more than doubled last year.
According to the HIRA, the medication costs of anti-ulcerants went up to 518.7 billion won last year fro 242.2 billion won in 2004.
