Government to tighten controls on psychotropic substances

The government will strengthen controls over chemicals that can be used as narcotics, in line with a global effort to prevent the flow of such substances, health authorities said on June 23.

21 chemicals, including 5-methoxy-N-methyl-N-isopropyltryptamine, 4-methylmethcathinone and 3,4-methylenedioxyethylamphetamine will be additionally regulated as psychotropic drugs.
