Medication costs top 2.5 trillion won in first quarter

The national health insurance spent 9.1 trillion won in the first half of this year to cover medication costs for its subscribers, equivalent to some 27.2 percent of its total expenditure. It spent about 8.4 trillion won in the same period of last year.
