KFDA sets up Food and Drug Safety Assessment Agency
The Korea Food and Drug Administration said on May 1 it has launched a food and drug safety assessment agency by disbanding the National Institute of Toxicological Research.
The agency will be responsible for taking charge of monitoring and counseling health problems in the production, distribution and delivery of foods and drug to consumers, according to the agency chief Kim Seung Hee.
