HIRA to evaluate economic effectiveness of 742 medicines in second quarter

The Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service has recently announced that a total of high-priced 742 drugs from 619 ingredients will be subject to its economic feasibility assessment in the second quarter of this year, as part of the government's efforts to lower drug costs.

The HIRA said earlier that it would intend to evaluate the cost effectiveness of 693 items in the first quarter.
