Wholesalers all-out to maintain proper margin policy

Domestic pharmaceutical wholesalers are finding it increasingly difficult to boost their bottom line amid drugmakers’ intention to slash wholesalers’ margin and stiffer competition.

GlaxoSmithKline has recently notified its plan to increase its basic wholesaler margin from 5 percent to 5.3 percent, while its money collection period will have to be shortened by three months from four months.
