Pharmaceutical companies to face shortage of pharmacists

The government should hike the quota for pharmacy colleges as 250 pharmaceutical firms are in need of 5,000 pharmacists, according to a local professor who cite the data released by the Korea Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association.

Prof. Lee Bum-jin of Kwangwon University said in a recent forum that 152 pharmacists should be additionally recruited in 121 pharmaceutical companies.
