Lawmaker calls for new prescription plan

The government should boost the local pharmaceutical industry by a new prescription plan, under which doctors will be required to prescribe the actual chemical agent instead of the name of a specific drug product as they do now, according to Rep. Park Eun-soo of the main opposition Democratic Party who cited the data from the Health Insurance Review and Assessment Service.
